April 30 (Reuters). The aircraft manufacturer Embraer raised its earnings up 319% in the first quarter compared with the same period last year, and posted a net profit of 262.8 million reais ( about 118 million dollars), reported the Brazilian company.
Net turnover amounted to 2928.8 million reais (about $ 1.317 billion), an increase of 35.8%, which was a result of the delivery of fourteen commercial and 20 executive aircraft segment, according to a statement.
The company said that revenue from its security and defense segment increased by 87% over the first quarter last year, to 931.4 million reais (approximately 419 million dollars).
