The rains have left a trail of death in Brazil.

Allison Paul da Silva Rocha, 17, died Friday when a motorcycle crashed into a tree felled by a storm.

Brazilian authorities on Saturday rose to 45 the death toll caused by rains in recent weeks in the South East and set in seven the number of missing.

Civil Defense bodies of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo reported four victims died in different accidents between Thursday and Friday as a result of precipitation.

Two of the victims, identified as Emilson Pereira Lourenço, 36, and Luiz Gonçalves de Almeida, 66, are drowned by being swept away by a flood in the town of Virgolandia (Minas Gerais), one of the most affected and was visited Friday by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.

In Holy Spirit, authorities reported the death of a person, not identified, in the town of Pancas following the floods that hit the area.
