USA immigration is remained a main source of cultural change and population growth in the United States of America. It is a demographic phenomenon which is evident from the history of the USA. Immigration is one of the hot topics in other countries as a large number of people from all over the world want to have it. There is lot of controversy regarding political, social and economic views in the country. This immigration brings different kinds of effects on the economic condition of the country. They jobs in the country are not as much as they should be, the availability of jobs for the non-immigrants and how they would be settled in the country? The ratio of crimes is also increasing so all these things contribute a lot toward the economic condition of the country.


In 2006 United States of America has accepted a record number of immigrants from all over the world on permanents basis than any other country in the world. The number of immigrants constantly increased from 165 to 2007 which is from 9.6 million to 38 million respectively. The people of India, Mexico, China, Philippines and other counties are involved in the process of USA immigration. The immigrants as a result of family reunification also came to USA which is nearly two-third of the legal immigrants every year. But after 2010 immigration policies have been changed to deeper level.

In 2009 more than 66% of the immigrants for family reunification became legal residents of the United States of America, 13% due to employment skills and 17%for humanitarian reasons. The illegal USA immigration through Mexico border is dangerous, expensive and difficult. Different methods including barriers are used to stop this illegal migration along with the strict immigration policies. In 2010 the United States immigration policy is changed and it became tougher for the immigrants of the world.

The attitude of the public toward USA immigration changed greatly after 9/11 attacks. According to statistics the percentage of people who say that USA immigration is good for the nation reduced from 62% to 52%. Now there are mixed behavior of people toward the immigrants from the world. A large number of cities including Washington and New York vary at large scale due to United States immigration. The number of immigrants during 1994 to 2001 was also great in numbers. The USA immigration is still tough for the people of other countries because they government of USA has implemented some strict policies.

There are many reasons of USA immigration including better career development chances, freedom, human rights, and better chances of learning, better children education, better medical care and liberty. All these things convince people to apply for USA immigration. Every individual remains in search of better chances so it is understood that people try to migrate to USA but as the overall economy is going down so the policy of the immigration has been modified. The risk of security is also tried to minimize by taking such amendments in the policies.
