Samsung Smart glasses can end up being very different from Google Glass.
Samsung may introduce its own Google Glass in early September, coinciding with the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note in April, according to ‘Business Korea’. The company intends to present as Glass-Gear will call-in the International Fair of Consumer Electronics (IFA), held between 5 and 10 September in Berlin.
With a very similar to the Google Glass design, the Samsung glasses would have a glass prism and a headset that would probably work with bluethooth. All indications are that employ the Tizen, the open source software development in which Samsung source operating system has played a key role.
“After presenting our ‘smartwatch’ Galaxy Gear in September last year, we are ready to present the smart glasses Galaxy Gear this September,” said a source at the company.
Samsung has filed patents on portable display technology in Korea and the United States.
This week, Google has started selling in the U.S. for $ 1,500 Google Glass in beta.
