The Department of Defense announced the cancellation of its joint exercises with the Thai Royal Armed Forces following the coup that gave the Army Asian country a few days ago.

“As we have made clear, it is important that the Royal Thai Armed Forces end this coup and restore both the principles and the democratic process for the Thai people as well as a clear path to elections,” said Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, in a statement.
