Remorse for kidnapping three women for over ten years it seems that Ariel Castro was stunning.

So said two handwritten notes left before taking his own life in prison in Ohio on 3 September.

The report confirmed that the man committed suicide in his cell and ruled that he died of autoerotic asphyxiation, also revealed that Castro wrote two notes to family members and which expresses its regret.

In one of the letters, which he titled “My children and my grandchildren,” Castro placed the names of 12 family members and adorned with flowers, crosses, hearts and musical notes.

In another letter written several Bible passages and mentioned his regret for the crime.

He wrote a diary on his cell

Castro was sentenced to life imprisonment for kidnapping, beating and raping Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight, who remained captive for ten years at his home in Cleveland.

Researchers gave the final report on the death of Castro also indicated that among the personal possessions removed from his cell found ten pages daily.

The contents of this newspaper could reveal how those last days of his life in prison were and what was going through his mind, but their families who will have the final word on whether that content is disclosed.
